Where are the good old days where one could express their feelings without worrying that what you say might offend someone and it only seems like yesterday where we could say our thoughts without someone screaming hater, racist or whatever term one gets offended by today. This is especially true in the work place where one has the feeling that if you say the wrong thing you will be terminated. I am not saying that it should be a free for all pf insults and cuss words but it has gotten to a point where you are even afraid that your shadow will say the wrong thing but this has been noticed by a majority of Americans.
The following was posted by Timothy Meads, published by Town Hall News: “The Washington Times reports that a new poll of more than 13,000 US adults finds that “81% of Americans agree that ‘people are too easily offended these days.'”
“As noted by Jennifer Harper, the Morning Consult poll “found that 94% of Republicans, 82% of independents and 70% of Democrats agree with this idea.” Furthermore, 48% of all Americans believe the country to be too politically correct with just 34% of Americans saying they choose to identify as politically correct.”
“Other interesting findings from the poll note that Americans are increasingly confused as to what is acceptable to say without offending somebody. “72% overall agree that “rules about what you can and cannot say change so fast it’s difficult to keep up”; 85% of Republicans, 70% of independents and 64% of Democrats agree,” the Washington Times article says.”
I hold of the opinion that was one of the reasons Trump won the presidency of the fact that he told it like it was and still consistently does so. If you notice this poll shows agreement by most Americans and I will say it’s one of the few polls that I have seen that most people are walking in lock-step on the subject. Going back to Trump he says as I have mentioned in other of my posts he talks in the way most of us talk at the kitchen table, in other words we say at home about various subject what we wouldn’t say in public not knowing how someone would react and that should not be the case. Naturally it’s the radical left and the elites that have made political correctness the subject matter and if you think about it all political correction is its an infringement on our First Amendment rights of free speech and We The People cannot continue to allow this to happen. As long as you do not belittle someone say whats on your mind and let the chips fall where they may. Will it work, yes it will if enough of us do it and I have never been of one to hold back and does it feel good? Absolutely! Try it, you will like it!
I disagree on the belittling.
Hubris is on the rampage.
Suffer no fools.
I dont fully get what you are stressing.
We’ve encouraged a proliferation dunning kruger opinions. We should have been laughing viciously.
