Russia and China as we know do not have to worry about social programs as the radical left has implementing them in our inner cities which has either destroyed them or is about to. The United States cannot allow that to happen to our new weaponry programs in this case being hypersonic weapons. So what are hypersonic weapons? “A hypersonic weapon is a missile that travels at Mach 5 or higher, which is at least five times faster than the speed of sound. This means that a hypersonic weapon can travel about one mile per second.” My understanding is that America has no defense as of yet against this type of weapon and to make it worst we are behind Russia and China just to produce this weapon.

The speed, precision and lethality of the new weaponry threaten to render traditional military assets — tanks, aircraft carriers, amphibious assault vessels — obsolete virtually overnight.”

“Across the board, stakeholders agree that Washington has allowed Beijing and Moscow to make massive strides while failing to keep pace or to develop a comprehensive strategy to counter enemy first strikes.”

“Defense contractors are lining up to develop hypersonic weapons and — equally important — improved missile defenses to deal with the challenge of an adversary’s incoming hypersonic arsenal. Lockheed Martin reportedly signed contracts worth some $2.5 billion for hypersonic weapons in 2018 alone, and rival Raytheon told investors on a conference call earlier this year that every division of the company was working on counterhypersonic research.”

When President Reagan faced the same kind of threat from the old Soviet Union naturally with different types of weapons for that era Russia thought they had it made in the shade in out-doing the U.S. in the creation of new weapons because Reagan had a Congress to answer to and Russia didn’t. President Reagan didn’t care and because of American economic might he just out spend the old Soviet Union and the rest is history such as the collapse of the Soviet Union and Reagan threatening them with the Strategic Defense Initiative better known as “Star Wars”.

This is why the United States must keep an outpouring of funds to our military and put any new social programs on the shelf because Russia and China are counting on the socialists in the Congress to do all the dirty work for them in ripping our economy apart. President Trump has a more difficult problem considering the Democratic Party is pretty much all radical left nut jobs and all they see is socializing America no matter what the cost to our great country. This is the greatest problem for America, America’s exceptionalism can take care of Russia and China but the enemy within is the bigger problem. Socialism needs to be defeated immediately, there is no time to spare!
